Alejandro Remeseiro: Suara Sampah
Suara Sampah (“Sound Waste” in Indonesian) is a 6 track work by the spanish sound artist and producer Alejandro Remeseiro. Suara Sampah is a sound artwork designed to be carefully listened with headphones; Industrial soundscapes and thrilling drones in a sound that evokes the lack of communication between human beings, the restless seeking of love, and the absurd loneliness of the contemporary world. The intention of the use of repetitive patterns of sound, low frequencies and glitches is to make the listener a bit nervous…but anyway everyone can take these sounds to use as a mirror and try to look at themselves. Maybe the image that this mirror returns to us is not very clear, nice, or even lovely … but, after all, these tracks are just sounds that, in fact, are completely harmless. Intolerance
The Intolerance born in September 1983 in Cuneo, a small town in the montains near Torino, by an idea of Luca Musso, Marco Marongiu and Paolo Chiotasso, all musicians orbiting around the various high school of music expecially SMET (electronic music studio in Torino) founded by Enore Zaffiri. At the vocals Raffaella Risso. Cultural landmarks and music influences were Suicide, Daf, Throbbing Gristle, the german electronic music scene in the years '60/'70, composers as Luciano Berio/Stockhausen and the new international post-punk / new wave scene of the period. The instrumentation used in the two first years of activity of the band (which is used in this album) was Roland JX-3P, Roland Juno-106, Roland Sh-101 and Drumatrix TR-606. Unsound Magazine
"Unsound was a mag published in San Francisco by William Davenport, who was also in the band Problemist. I've got 6 issues, and, I believe, there were about 8, published between 1983-86. This is the first issue from September 1983 and features an interview with Perry Webb of Culturcide, an overview of the Los Angeles experimental electronic scene by Brad Laner, and much more. One of the earlier US based publications with any longevity that covered the industrial/noise/punk/experimental underground."
